In addition to numerous guests of honour, including Elli, Helga, Claudia, Christian and Moritz Netzsch, as well as Jens Niessner from the Executive Board of the NETZSCH Group, all project participants, construction companies involved and customers were invited to the grand campus opening. After welcoming the guests, the management gave their speeches.
“We are grateful and proud: Grateful for the trust of our shareholders, who have made this major investment possible in the first place. Their faith in NETZSCH Pumps & Systems GmbH has made the campus project possible. Therefore, we are all extremely grateful”, says CEO Andreas Denker. “We are proud of what we have achieved: The most modern positive displacement pump factory in the world! This factory sets new standards in efficiency, quality and sustainability.” After the speeches, the official opening ceremony was scheduled. By 10:50 a.m., the ribbon was cut, and the NETZSCH Campus in Waldkraiburg was opened.
“On behalf of everyone attending, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to the shareholders of the NETZSCH Group, the managing directors of NETZSCH Holding, our partners, customers and employees, and in particular, the project team, who embody the values of the NETZSCH Group in an extraordinary way”, says CFO Jens Heidkötter. “Because of projects like this one, employees and business partners like you and our 150-year history, I am sure the best is yet to come.” Finally, an Italian buffet was offered in the Café & Restaurant FELIX before all the guests were given a guided tour of the campus, and the afternoon came to an end.
More than 1,100 visitors: Successful family afternoon
Something was offered to everyone at the family afternoon on Saturday, whether young or old. Some people explored the site and proudly presented their workplace to their relatives, while others enjoyed the XXL human table football. In addition to numerous other games, such as pushing a beer mug, a bouncy castle and face painting, plenty of food and drink was available. The Obermeier and Innbräu Volksfest team provided the families with fresh Hendel, cheese spaetzle and other delicacies, and cool drinks. There was also a crêpes and ice cream stand. So, there was nothing left to be desired.
Cheerful employee party on the NETZSCH Campus
The party got going in the evening when the youngsters were in bed. Fuelled by the band “Under one Roof” and a DJ, more than 700 employees and their families celebrated late into the night at the employee party. In addition to delicious food and drinks, a photo box was available to capture memories of the now legendary campus inauguration.
